Public document

This page states Azari Holdings’ public policy position. Applicable law, contracts, regulatory requirements and more specific subsidiary procedures may impose additional or stricter requirements.

Compliance and responsibility

Each operating company is responsible for identifying the environmental laws, permits, approvals and professional requirements that apply to its activities and projects.

This group policy does not replace project-specific environmental assessments, technical conditions or regulatory obligations.

Material impacts

Environmental priorities should reflect actual operations. Relevant subjects may include energy, fuel, water, waste, emissions, hazardous materials, land, biodiversity, noise and local environmental conditions.

A service business and an infrastructure project should not be expected to manage identical issues or use identical metrics.

Prevention and efficiency

Where reasonably practical, businesses should design and operate to prevent avoidable pollution, reduce waste and use materials, water and energy efficiently.

Preventive maintenance and good operating discipline can be as important as new technology in reducing environmental impact.

Projects and suppliers

Projects with material environmental effects should involve qualified professionals and appropriate due diligence. Contractors and suppliers should comply with the environmental requirements relevant to their scope.

Environmental responsibility should not be delegated away simply because work is outsourced.

Incidents and remediation

Material spills, releases, permit breaches or other environmental incidents should be contained, escalated, investigated and reported where required. Corrective action should address underlying causes as well as immediate cleanup.

Records should be sufficient to support learning and any required engagement with authorities or affected stakeholders.

Public claims

Environmental claims should be specific enough to understand and supported by an appropriate basis. Azari does not use generic green language as a substitute for verified performance.

Formal targets should identify scope, baseline and governance before they are presented as commitments.
